Daniel Thompson It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Thompson on June 3, 2005. Daniel enriched the lives of his family and friends with kindness and generosity of spirit. He leaves behind his mother Lizzie Thompson, brothers Franklin, (Madeline), Bryan (Bella), Lawrence (Judy), Morris (Patsy), sisters Audrey, Sharon (John), Leslie and numerous extended family members and friends. Daniel was predeceased by his Dad Frank, brothers Albert, Ronald, sister Nancy, nephew Eric and niece Nancy. Daniel was born in Swan River on November 17, 1945. He grew up in Duck Bay at the age of 16. He started pulp cutting in Manitoba and Ontario which he did for most of his life. He then moved to Winnipeg and worked as a janitor. He retired due to his illness. He favorite past time was taking long walks and visiting with his family and friends. Prayers will be held at the Duck Bay Community Hall on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Church services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Father Jose Cabral officiating. Interment will follow at the Duck Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Lawrence Thompson, Ronald Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Bryan Thompson, Brian Jr. Thompson, Morris Thompson. Honourary Pallbearers will be: Franklin Thompson, Michael Thompson, Wesley Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Dean Thompson, Tyson Thompson, Todd Thompson, Patrick Thompson, Conrad Thompson, Franklin Jr. Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, Nicky Thompson. Family and Friends can consider themselves as special honourary pallbearers. God saw you getting tired, a cure was not to be, So He wrapped his loving arms around you, and whispered “Come with Me”. You suffered much in silence, Your spirit did not bend, You faced your pain with courage, until the very end. You tried so hard to stay with us, Your fight was all in vain, God took you to His loving home, and freed you from all pain.
