Frank Haidish June 09, 1921 - June 02, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Glen Eden Funeral Home (Winnipeg) Suddenly on June 2, 2005, a week shy of his 84th birthday, Frank Haidish, most loved father of Christine Ranick, passed away. Frank lived his whole life in Winnipeg's North End. He started working for CP Rail in his teens and retired in 1983. Frank was an excellent golfer and pool player and was always very lucky at the casino. He loved his family very much and one of his favorite things was hopping into the car for a drive, which stopped only two years ago. Frank was always a great help and support to his family over the years. He will be greatly missed by Chris as well as his grandson Jay and girlfriend Carrie, his granddaughter Wendy, her husband Rick and great-granddaughter Violet who traveled from England to say good-bye. Fortunately, he enjoyed a wonderful visit in March with them and especially with 2 year old Violet. Frank was predeceased by Helen, his loving wife of 54 years, in 2000. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9, his birthday, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
