Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Lysyk (née Bettschen) September 27, 1921 - May 25, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Richmond Funeral Home LYSYK—Marion Elizabeth. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at the Deltaview Life Enrichment Centre, Delta, BC at the age of 83 years. Marion was born in Regina, Sask. She is survived by her husband Edward of 54 years; sons, Michael (Lana), Edward Jr. (Janet), Thomas (Peggi), Timothy (Sophie) and daughter Patricia (Chris); 13 grandchildren; 1 brother and 6 sisters. Predeceased by 1 brother, 2 sisters and her parents, William and Agnes Bettschen. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle, loving spirit and total devotion to her family. Marion saw service in the RCAP during World War II and later worked for the RCMP in Regina. Her married life took her to a number of Arctic locations, some very isolated, as well as numerous postings across Canada. The care she received at Deltaview is greatly appreciated. Prayer service to be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 4451 Williams Road, Richmond at 7:00 pm Monday, May 30th. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 31st, 2005. Reception following the funeral service at the Ukrainian Community Centre, 5311 Francis Road, Richmond. Family will gather at the RCMP Cemetery in Regina for interment. Flowers gratefully declined
