Dorothy E. Banks 1917-2005 Dorothy Eileen Banks, 87, of Parkland Estates, Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2005. Born in Moncton, September 17, 1917, she was the daughter of the late M. Harris and Albertha (Sullivan) MacFarlane. . Dorothy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6, the Pearl Rebekah Lodge #9, the Moncton Lionettes, the Bicentennial Skaters Club, she was a Shriner Lady, and a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross. Dorothy loved her morning coffee at MacDonalds Main Street, and afternoon tea at MacDonalds Coverdale Road. She enjoyed a brief stay at Parkland Estates, Riverview, where the staff became her extended family. She is survived by her son, Douglas A. Brown (Lillian) of Miramichi; her daughter, Eileen E. Plante (Gerald) of Riverview; step-sons, Peter and David Banks; a brother, Everett of Riverview; grandsons, Michael and Andrew Plante; granddaughter, Linda Brown; and nephews, Bruce and Donald MacFarlane. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husbands, Truman L. Brown and Arnold Banks as well an infant son Carl. At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the New Brunswick Lung Association, would be appreciated.
