Karrie Ann Yakel (née McLeod) April 03, 1974 - June 07, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Chapel It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Karrie Ann, mother, wife, daughter, sister, and auntie on June 7, 2005. Born April 3, 1974, Karrie is survived by her son, Lucas; husband, Douglas Yakel; parents, Allan and Gail McLeod; sister, Katherine (Scott) Alexander; grandparents, George and Elizabeth McLeod; nieces, Megan and Nicole Alexander, Grace Yakel, Jenny Munroe; in-laws, Joyce and Ed Smith and Calvin Yakel (Jennett Kirby), Neil and Christine Yakel, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and remembered by many friends. Karrie was predeceased by her Nana and Jaju and by good friend and neighbour uncle Larry Zacharuk. A special thank you to Tom Baker Cancer Centre Bone Marrow Transpant Unit 57, doctors, nurses, and staff. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204-Fort Road. Cremation to follow.
