Maurice Pombert May 04, 1940 - June 09, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Glenwood Funeral Home It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Maurice Pombert of Seba Beach, Alberta, formerly of Sherwood Park, Alberta on June 9, 2005. Maurice passed away in Stony Plain surrounded by family and friends following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Maurice will always be remembered for his outgoing gregarious nature. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, whether around the campfire at his lakeside home, at a Gyro event, or spending time with his four grandchildren who were precious to him. His memory will always be treasured by his loving wife of 43 years, Eleanor; daughters Patricia (Derrick) DiPalma and Jodi (Doug) Cromie; adoring grandchildren Daniel, Stephanie, Kristen and Brodie; sisters Dee (Fred) Becker, Claire (Terry) Semeniuk, Jeanette Pombert; brothers Al (Val) and Dennis (Donna); father in law Chuck Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Lawrence and Leona; brother Ed; sister Antoinette and mother in law Helen Edwards. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2005 at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 13 Brower Drive, Sherwood Park, Alberta. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Memorial tributes may be made to the Cross Cancer Society.
