Cecil Henry Taylor Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) TAYLOR, Cecil Henry - 72, East Preston, passed away peacefully June 9, 2005, in the VG Site, QEII, where he was a long-time dialysis patient. He was a son of the late George and Lavinia (Diggs) Taylor. He was a member of East Preston United Baptist Church and a member of the Men's Brotherhood. He was employed by Eric Whebby and Gerald Racine as a cement truck driver. He managed his own private contracting company for a number of years. Daddy was a quiet, humble person, loved and respected by many. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and will always remain in our hearts and memories. He is survived by his former wife, Irene Taylor (Brown); daughter, Crystal Sharann Taylor; son, Ashley Taylor; two grandchildren; sister, Pearl Glasgow (Taylor); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Hilda, Marjorie, Molly, Edna; brothers, Stanley, and Gerald in infancy; godchild, Velma Kane (Thomas). Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in East Preston United Baptist Church. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday in East Preston United Baptist Church, Rev. Ogueri Ohanaka officiating, assisted by Rev. Stewart Williams. Interment in the church cemetery. Repast to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch, Canadian Cancer Society or East Preston United Baptist Church.
