Linda Marie Murphy September 28, 1922 - June 10, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel (Tecumseh) B.A. (UWO), M.A. (Windsor) Passed away peacefully on June 10, 2005 in Windsor. Dear daughter of the late Patrick Leo Murphy and Louise (nee Leblanc). Predeceased by brothers James Napoleon (1924), Patrick (1999), Lloyd (2004) and sister Vyvyan (2000). Survived by sisters Theresa Montagano, Anne Mogg and several nieces and nephews including James Montagano. Most recently, Linda attended the Church of the Atonement, was an active member of the Catholic Woman's League, a long time member of the Girl Guides of Canada as well as the Trefoil Guild. Linda was a member of the Retired Teachers of Ontario, having taught in Windsor, Tilbury District High School and other locations in the county. Also, she was known as Sister Francine when in the Order of Sisters of St. Joseph (London/Windsor) before becoming a lay teacher...She will be missed deeply. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-5 p.m & 7-9 p.m. C.W.L. Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830). Fr. Clare Coleman officiating. Cremation will follow and the interment of cremated remains will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Linda Murphy in the Marcotte Heritage Forest.
