Irene Arsenault (née Laurence) Funeral arrangements by Chapel Lawn Funeral Home Peacefully on June 9th, 2005 at Victoria General Hospital Irene Arsenault passed away. Irene is survived by her husband Emery, her mother Beatrice & her children: Elaine (Wally), Donald (Dolly), Robert, Merna (Ron), Valerie (Leonard), Janice, Randy (Michelle), Lorna (Dan) & Lorraine (Robbie). Grandchildren: Shannon, Lisa, Carla, Yvonne, Michael, Stephanie, Rachael, Kayla, Josh, Darnell & five great grand children. Irene also leaves behind sisters Esther, Lena & Mildred (Gerry) & brothers Allan (Helen) & Kelly (Linda). And many nieces, nephews & cousins. Irene was predeceased by her father Euclid & sister Violet. Irene was born in St Laurent, Mb. on July 13th, 1931. Irene & Bill were married for twenty eight years & resided in Winnipeg. Together they enjoyed many years of dancing to fiddle music, traveling & many endless drives to Birds Hill Park watching the deer. Irene loved gardening, cooking & crocheted many blankets for her family. Irene had a wonderful sense of humor & a feisty personality. Irene's gentle ways & kind heart will be sadly missed. Each day her beautiful smile will be cherished in our hearts forever. Special thanks to the 3rd floor staff at Victoria General Hospital. Memorial service will take place on June 14th, 2005, 3:00pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Flowers are graciously declined & a donation may be made in Irene's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Forever in our hearts.
