BOWLES, James "Jim" 69 years, suddenly on January 9, 2005 at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus. Formerly of Belle River. Beloved husband of Betty and predeceased by Margaret (1992). Loving father of Bill, Jim and wife Sherry and John. Step-father to Darryl and wife Sandy, Trudy and friend William, Lorraine and friend Paul. Dear step-grandfather to Tanya, Chad, Ryan and William. Survived by 5 sisters and 2 brothers and predeceased by 1 sister and 1 brother. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was retired from Daimler Chrysler after 22 years of service. Visitation will be held at the Melady Funeral Home & Chapel, 572 Notre Dame Street, Belle River (728-1500) on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Rev. Mary Leard officiating. Cremation will follow and the interment of cremated remains will take place in Oakland Cemetery at a later date. In kindness memorial donations to the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Jim Bowles in the Melady Heritage Forest.
