STADDON, Darlene Clara (McLean) Born July 25, 1933. Passed away on January 9, 2005. Darlene is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Bruce E. Staddon, Harrow. Loving mother of Karl B. Staddon, Calgary, Janet E. Staddon, Stouffville and Caroline D. Staddon, Harrow. Dear grandmother of Brittany E. Staddon, and her mother Donna J. Staddon, both of Calgary. Predeceased into Glory by her granddaughter Marissa Dawn Staddon, February 1, 2003. Survived by her sisters Marian Hines, Windsor and Lillian May (Walter), Redford, MI. Sister-in-law of Dorothy McLean, Prince George, BC., Anita McLean, Kingsville, Betty Jones, Maidstone and Marie (Staddon) Fisher, St. Louis, MO. Also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Mary E. McLean (Sweet) 1969, and Verne McLean 1950, brothers Norman 1958, Donald 1977, Douglas 1976 and sister Verna 1991. Darlene worked in banking for a year, and taught elementary school for a few years. Surpassing that, she took pleasure in her role as a wife and mother. Darlene felt privileged to have met the people she did, while acting as an agent for many Trust Companies. In 1948 she put her trust in her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and enjoyed various roles of service in the Harrow Baptist Church. The family wishes to recognize the kindness and excellent care provided by Dr. James Maytham, Dr. Peter Kelton, Dr. W.M. Leung, Dr. A. Dhar, Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Community Care Access Centre, St. Elizabeth Health Care, Hospice Windsor-Essex, Para Med and Leamington District Memorial Hospital, 2 north nursing staff. We will be forever grateful for the thoughts and prayers, and help given by Moms many cherished friends. Mom and the family were especially appreciative of the support given by the many visitations of Pastor Ed Mawhorter and his wife Mary. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow, Ontario. Visitation Wednesday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to Celebrate Darlene's Life will be held Thursday January 13, 2005 11:00 a.m. at the Harrow Baptist Church with Pastor Stephen Todd and Pastor Ed Mawhorter officiating. Interment at Iler Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Harrow Baptist Church Organ Fund, Marissa Staddon Memorial Library at CanIL (Canadian Institute of Linguistics) or Hospice Windsor-Essex.
