McCLOSKEY, Raymond Joseph Died peacefully with his loving family by his side on January 16, 2005 at 76 years of age at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Kellett) with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage. Devoted father to Jim and wife Cari McCloskey, Maureen and husband Mike Valcke, Carol and husband Lloyd Sonnenburg. Loving grandfather of Katie, Bob, Patrick, Brian, Kevin, Kelly and Amy. Cherished brother of Mary Catherine and husband Tony Gerrish and Charles and wife Virginia McCloskey. Special brother-in-law of Bob and wife Carol Kellett. Raymond was predeceased by his mother and father Charles and Helen McCloskey (nee Piquet). Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ray was a long standing member of St. John Vianney Parish having served as a lay reader and long time member of the Finance Committee. He was an honourary life member of the Riverside Knight's of Columbus, Council #4924. Ray was a retired employee of the City of Windsor Finance Department where he worked for 37 years. He was a graduate of Assumption High School and the University of Western Ontario. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Windsor Regional Hospital I.C.U. for their tender and compassionate care. Also to the loving and very special care that he received at Maisonville Court Retirement Home where he resided for six months. Special thanks to Dr. Patrick Smith, Dr. Hiren Desai and Dr. Mandar Jog. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday January 18, 2005 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. 3rd Degree K of C Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers Wed. 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to meet on Thursday January 20, 2005 at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe Street) at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. If you so desire, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Canada.
