JAMES, Irene (formerly Cooney, nee White) - Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Drive on January 24, 2005 in her 86th year. Dear wife of the late Carl James. Beloved mother of Beverley Garner (Chuck), Ted Cooney (Ursula), Ron Cooney (Sharon), Don Bennett (predeceased by wife Jean), Sharon "Vicki" Carey, Bonnie Hamilton (Vernon), Linda Baldwin (Ron) and Bob Cooney (Wendy). Dear step-mother of Margaret Taylor(Heston), Susan Spence(Frank), and John James(Patti). Irene is survived by her brother Bob (Mona) White and she is predeceased by her three sisters, Jean Currie, Fran Whiteley and Olive Wager. Sadly missed by thirty grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thank you to the 2nd floor staff of the Hutchison Wing for their wonderful care. Friends and family will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
