MARCON, Silvano (Silver) Passed away peacefully at the age of 53, at home in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 30, 2005. Silvano is the beloved husband of Gigliola (Jola, nee: Aliberti) and is the forever loved and cherished father of Clint and Jenna. Special friend to Leah Wilson, and best friend to Smokey. Loving son of the late Aristide (Cice) and Maria Marcon. Beloved son-in-law of Palmerino and the late Romana Aliberti. Dear brother of Flavio and wife Michelle. Dear brother-in-law of Bernie and Debbie Aliberti, and Denise and Dan McGrath. Loving uncle to Laura, Robert and Jordyn Marcon, and Dean, Elise and Nicolas Aliberti. Silvano was born in Fossalta, Padova, Trebasiliche, Italy, and is survived by many aunts and uncles in that region. Numerous other cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, co-workers, and neighbours will dearly miss him. He was proud to be a member of the original "Erie Street Boys". Silvano was a member of the CAW Local 1973 at General Motors Trans-mission. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Monday January 31, 2005, from 7 to 9pm, and Tuesday from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services on Wednesday, February 2, 2005, at 8:45 a.m., from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. Committal services at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The family wishes to extend its most sincere thanks to all of the doctors and nurses at the Windsor Regional Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Yoshida and Dr. Johnston, and to the many devoted nurses and caregivers from Saint Elizabeth Health Care for their dedication, assistance and encouragement. Special thanks also go out to Silvano's many buddies who tirelessly sup-ported and encouraged him. He could not have made it through as courageously as he did without all of their love and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Silvano's memory to support the further study of pancreatic cancer. Donations may be made to either Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto, or to the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
