PROULX-SIMON, Catherine Passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday January 27, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at age 42. Catherine is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Simon and beautiful children Laurel and Michael. Much loved daughter of William and Denise Proulx of Windsor, On. Will be sadly missed by siblings Bill and Danielle Proulx of Calgary, Donna and Ken Ditty, Bob and Maureen Proulx. Cherished granddaughter of Loretta Quinlan all Windsor, On. Fondly loved by nephews Britt Proulx, Ian and Mathew Ditty, Colin and Stephen Proulx and Colton Baxter. Dear Daughter in-law of Madeline and Rudy Simon of Waterloo, On. Sister in-law of Jim and Diane Simon (Chatham), Cathy and Mike Burke (Port Elgin). Loving aunt of Ryan and Jason Simon, Ashleigh, Hayden and Elliott Burke. Predeceased by grandparents Roger and Alice Proulx and Everett Quinlan. Catherine is a graduate of Windsor's F. J. Brennan H.S. and St. Clair College and most recently employed by City TV from 1988 until her illness forced her to stop working in 1998. Always one to share a joke or laugh, Catherine was a vibrant personality and a very good friend to so many people everywhere she went. Her kindness and thoughtfulness will be remembered by the many family, friends and business associates she touched during her much too short time with us. She had a passion for life and always lived it to the fullest. Catherine's ability to make everyone feel welcome, cared about and important will be missed by all. Visitation in Mississauga will be held at Neweduk Funeral Home, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga, ON . (1 block east of Erin Mills Pkwy.) (905-828-8000) on Sunday January 30th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Complete Funeral Service at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 1745 Dundas St. W. (entrance off Mississauga Rd. north of Dundas St.) on Monday at 11 a.m. Visitation in Windsor will be at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday February 1st from 2-4pm, and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers Tuesday evening at 8pm. Service from the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m then to St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church (891 St. Rose Ave.) for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.. Burial at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Windsor. If desired, donations may be made support of the Gerry & Nancy Pencer Brain Tumor Centre, c/o The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, 610 University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5G 2M9 or online at www.neweduk.com.
