McLEOD, John Forest (born June 26, 1917) - Passed away quietly on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Hastings Centennial Manor, Bancroft, Ontario. He was the first principal of King George Public School, Guelph, Ontario and later served as principal in Elementary schools with the Scarborough Board of Education from which he retired. On retirement he spent several years in North Carolina, later returning to Canada to reside in Peterborough. John is predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Doris) McLeod (nee Buchanan) who passed away on April 28, 2001. Loved father of Donald and his wife Joan of Paudash Lake. Grandfather of Michael and Sharon, and great-grandfather of Connor and Caitlin. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Private family service to be held in the chapel on Sunday February 6th at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Phil Baxter will be officiating. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
