Lucy DOLANJSKI

ZDUNICH, Lucy (Ljubica) (nee Dolanjski) 85 years. Born June 30, 1919, in Sveta-Jana, Croatia. Passed away on February 4, 2005, surrounded by her family, at Banwell Gardens. Beloved wife of the late John (Zdune) (1977). Loving mother of Rose Mary & husband John Downhaniuk, John & wife Rose, Milan & Sandra, Diane (Dolly) & husband Bob Rupcich, and Shirley (Cheech) & husband Perry Katopodis. Loved Baba of Nancy & husband Bruce Wightman, Christine, John, and Nick & wife Kim Dowhaniuk, Andrew & wife Micheline Zdunich, Josephine, and Marc & wife Kim Zdunich, and Bobby Rupcich. Great Baba of T.J., Alan, Trinity, Rylie, Zoe, Mia, and Abbi. Great stepbaba of Matthew. Dear aunt of Nick Dolansky. Special sister-in-law of Marija Picha. Predeceased by her parents Petar & Ljuba Dolanjski, and brothers Peter and Nicholas. She will be sadly missed by many family and friends. A special thanks to all the staff and residents at Banwell Gardens for their exceptional care and support especially her granddaughter Chrissy. Lucy was an active member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #638 and The Detroit Licki Club. Visitation will be held Monday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at Janisse Bros - Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave. (253-5225), at 10:30 a.m. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Day Away Program or Stroke Recovery Association Windsor - Essex. A tree will be planted in memory of Lucy Zdunich in the Janisse Bros - Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
