Glen Evans PUGH

PUGH, Glen Evans Passed away peacefully in Chatham after a short illness on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 in his 91st year. A native of Chatham Township, he resided in Chatham-Kent all his life and served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1939 to 1945 on the HMCS Pictou. He is survived by his wife, Christena (Gillespie) Pugh and his three children: Brenda Campbell (and her husband Bernie) of Windsor, Vaughan Pugh (and his wife Martine) of Chatham and Patricia Pleli (and her husband Phil) of Windsor. Loving and proud grandfather of Ian, Peter and Jamie Campbell, Colin and Kyla Pugh and Jillian and Christopher Pleli. Brother of the late Helen Burlock of London, Willard Pugh of Chatham Township and Owen Pugh of Dorchester. Survived by sisters-in-law Janet and Beatrice Pugh, Donna (Ralph) Houston, Helen Reade, Rita, Billie and Diane Gillespie and many nieces and nephews. In his prime, Glen was very active in sports, including hockey and baseball. He was also a great music lover and thoroughly enjoyed the Chatham Concert Band's summer concerts. The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to the staff of Residence on the Thames, the staff of 2nd Floor Surgical at CKHA and Drs. G. Walker, J. Turnbull and J. Leigh. Visitation at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2005. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Heather Scott officiating.
