MASIKAT, Cristina (nee Rizare) Passed away peacefully February 9, 2005 at W.R. Hospital Western Campus at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Felipe. Loving mother of Joyce and husband Robert Kelley of Texas; Elmore Masikat and wife Lisa of Windsor; the late Philip Masikat and wife Delia of Germany; and Willie Masikat and wife Wilma, Philippines. Proudest Lola of Kristine and Michael Kelley, Alex Masikat and wife Lily and their son Calvin, Ken and Kathy Masikat, Sheena and Wilson Masikat. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Cristina was a parishioner of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was also a member of the Filga Filipino Golden Agers Club of Windsor. A talented seamstress, her family enjoyed her handmade outfits. Friends will be received at the Morris Sutton Funeral Home & Cremation Centre 68 Giles Blvd. E. on Monday, February 14 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor Ulrich Unruh officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Windsor Seventh Day Adventist food bank. A tree will be planted in memory of Cristina Masikat in the Morris Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held Septemebr 25, 2005. All are welcome. Cristina lived her life by her most favourite quote: "Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, where I am, there you may be also." Published in the Windsor Star on 2/12/2005.
