POWER, Mildred Virginia From a journey that began October 26, 1921, God has welcomed home, Mildred Virginia Power (nee Pitre) on Sunday, February 13, 2005. Loved and cherished by her husband of 55 1/2 years, John. Adored mother of Maureen and her husband Stan Hoffman, and Colleen and her husband Marc Savage. Loving Grandma of Craig Bondy and wife Beth, Brittney Hoffman and Mathieu and Brendan Savage. The youngest girl in the Pitre family of fourteen, she will be sadly missed by her Big Sisters Corinne, wife of Norman Drouillard, and Genevieve Gray (late Marshall) and her younger brother Lionel and wife Shirley, her sisters-in-law Vivian Pitre (late Bernard), Shirley Pitre (late Gerard), Dolores Pitre (late Aimable) and Ann Canavan (late Romeo). Waiting to greet her will be Florence Noel (Jim), Reginald Pitre (Hilda), Gilbert Pitre (Grace), Gabriel Pitre (Mary), Antoinette Charlton (Jack), Louis Pitre (Paule) and Romeo Pitre (Cecile). Beloved sister-in-law of Bernard Power (late Shirley), Theresa Haggarty and husband Jerry, the late Olive and Desmond Deneau, Kathleen and Bill Gatfield and Augustine Power. Mrs. Power was a member of the C.W.L. of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and a member of the Blue Army. Visitation at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Wednesday 4 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 9:15 a.m. at the Funeral Home then to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindess memorial donations to the Building Fund for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Hearts Together for Haiti or Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Oncology Floor.
