BARNA, Dr. Bohdan "Bugs" Son of the late John and Anna Barna, Leamington, passed away in Toronto, February 9, 2005 in his 81st year. Father of John, Victoria, B.C.; Dan and wife Yvonne, Ajax, ON; Bill, Oakville; Patti and husband Bob Witmeyer, Oakville; Leslie and husband Kevin Gould, Keswick, ON. Grandfather of Daniel, Thomas, James, Kaitlyn, Jaime, Jordyn, Michael and Steven. Also survived by brother Eugene and wife Marie, Leamington. Best friend of Arlene, Bradford, ON. Many nieces and nephews as well as relatives in the United States, Poland and Ukraine. Cremation has taken place with a private family memorial service to be held at a later date. Bohdan was active as a youth and Leader in 2nd Leamington Scouting and served with the Royal Canadian Navy as Sick Bay Attendant on the H.M.C.S. Buckingham during WW II. During his professional career, he worked in the pharmaceutical field where he developed neo-citran and other medicines. Published in the Windsor Star on 2/16/2005.
