DOHERTY, Francis John (Frank) (Retired Farmer - Otonabee Township) - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Hospital Drive on Saturday February 19, 2005, 9 days before his 100th Birthday. Reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 62 years Mary Dorothy O'Brien (October 25, 2002) and his devoted son Leo John Doherty (December 1981). Loving father of Teresa Leahy and husband Gerald, Carl Doherty and wife Jan, Gerald Doherty and wife Dianne and Jean McGarrity. Dear grandfather of Chris, Jamie, and Ryan Doherty, Melissa and husband Darren Hancock and Shaun McGarrity. Dear brother-in-law of Edna Paquette, Bernard (Joan) O'Brien, Mart (Dorothy) O'Brien, and Elda Harrison. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents John Doherty and Elizabeth Heffernan and brothers Patrick, Leo and James (Anna), and sisters Eva (Jack) Cleary, Mary (Minnie) Doherty, Elizabeth (Francis) Moher and Marguerite (John) Jordan and brothers-in-law Joe O'Brien and Bud Paquette. Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. (Parish Prayers 3:45 p.m. Monday) Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Otonabee on Tuesday February 22, 2005 at 11 a.m. Reverend Ken Rae officiating. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery.
