Muriel E. TAYLOR

WISEMAN, Muriel E. (Grinney) A resident of Chatham and formerly Ridgetown, Muriel E. (Grinney) Wiseman passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Monday February 21, 2005 at the age of 80 years. Born in Belmont, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Alice Gertrude (Collard) Taylor. Beloved husband of the late Leonard Leslie (Barney) Wiseman (2000). Dear mother of Shirley Field of Wallaceburg, Joyce Wiseman of Wallaceburg, Wayne Wiseman of Windsor and the late Barry Wiseman (1994). Sister of the late Shirley Gillings, Wilfred Taylor, Stuart Taylor, Harold Taylor, Clifford Taylor, and Max Taylor. Loved by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by a daughter-in-law Marion Schroeder of Chatham, sisters-in-law Jenny Taylor, Irene Taylor, and Wanda Kennedy and numerous nieces and nephews. Muriel was a past member of the Ridgetown Lawn Bowling Club, and was a Provincial and Canadian Champion in doubles play. She was a past member of the Chatham Horizons Shuffleboard Club and was the first woman inducted into the Canadian Shuffleboard Hall of Fame. Muriel was an avid sports fan. The family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, Ridgetown, 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Friday February 25, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. William Vanderveeken of Erie Street United Church officiating. Interment of the cremated remains Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
