HEDGES, John Albert "Harry" - After a brief illness at Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary, AB, on Sunday, February 20, 2005. Harry Hedges of Creston, BC was in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Joan Marie (Lebel) and dear father, mentor and friend to son George and his wife Mary of Creston, BC. Dear brother of William and his wife Joyce of Nanaimo BC, Annette (Strachan) and husband Ronald of Oshawa, ON, the late Frank and the late Nancy (Bolduc). Dearly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will fondly remember Harry and Joan from their years residing in West Hill, On., and later retiring to Jack Lake near Apsley, On. Harry proudly served in the RCAF during WWII and was passionate about flying. He will make one last flight from Calgary AB to Cranbrook BC. His ashes will be delivered into the loving hands of his son George and his daughter-in-law Mary of Creston, BC. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr.'s Tatham, K. LeRoux of Creston, BC, Dr.'s A. Kryski, K Rimmer, D. Helmersen and the Flr 4 Unit 44 nursing staff at Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary AB., for their compassionate care and concern.
