HOWITT, Joseph Vincent Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 25, 1920. Passed away suddenly, on February 28, 2005 at Richmond Terrace at 84 years of age. Beloved husband of Olga (Ollie) with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage. He will be sadly missed by his children, Marianne and husband Marcel Villeneuve of Oakville, Ontario; Daniel and wife Gail Howitt of Calgary, Alberta; Patricia and husband Jack Kliman of Vancouver, B.C.; Thomas Howitt of Windsor, Ontario. Loving grandfather of Laura, Patrick, Matthew, Michael and Sean. Dear brother of Edward and Mona Howitt, Eileen and Peter Foy all of California, the late Jimmy Howitt, Patrick and Marcia Howitt of Battlecreek, Michigan; Margaret and Denis Grenon of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph was a WWII veteran who served with the Royal Canadian Navy. He retired from the G.M. Fleetwood Plant in Detroit, Michigan after 22 years of service, as an Electrician and was a member of the U.A.W. #15. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, a member of the Art Ziraldo Euchre Card Club and a cribbage league. He enjoyed exploring the world on his many travels. If you so desire, donations in Joseph's name may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral Saturday 10:30 a.m. from Families First Funeral Home to St. Martin de Porres Church for Mass at 11 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
