FITZPATRICK, Michael Delmore "Del" 63 years, on March 6, 2005, at his home. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Canning). Loving father of Michael (Donna Zegarac), Angela Fitzpatrick-Sasso (Randy), Sean (Janice Whitley) of Newmarket, and Geoffrey. Cherished grandfather of Samantha Sasso, Tristen Canning Sasso, and Cassidy Reese Fitzpatrick. Predeceased by his parents Jean (nee Scherb) and Bud Fitzpatrick. Dear brother of Kerry (Patricia) of Novi, MI., Karen Leclair (Gary), and Dennis (Terry). Brother-in-law of Catherine Backman-Jollimore (Don) of Halifax, and Mary Forrest-Frizzle (Ab) of Nova Scotia. Dear nephew of Florence and Arthur Pruducney of Taylor, MI. Brother-in-law of the late Joseph Canning, Genevieve Canning, and Arthur Canning. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews especially his confidant George Backman of Ingramsport, Nova Scotia, and Vicki Pringle of Halifax. Mike worked as an X-ray technician for his mentor Dr. Vern Messer at the Windsor Medical Clinic. He was retired from the Royal Canadian Navy 1959-1969, Ford Motor Company 1970 - 1973, and was a former Third Degree with the Knights of Columbus on Lauzon Rd. A special thanks to Dr. John MacKinnon of Lasalle, Father Paul Charbonneau, Jim & Kay Ryan and the staff at Brentwood, Dr. Yoshida at the Cancer Clinic, and his staff as well as the Hospice Volunteer, Laurie Foreman, and the CCAC for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held Monday 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday March 9, 2005, at Janisse Bros - Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave., (253-5225) (time incomplete). Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brentwood Recovery Home. A tree will be planted in memory of Mike Fitzpatrick in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
