PORTER, William Wesley - Passed away at the age of 65 on Sunday, March 6th, 2005 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 46 years to Marilyn (nee Scott). Father of Steven at home, Carolyn and her husband Currie Matthews of Oakwood. Poppa of Evan and Isaac Matthews. Bill was born on the 9th of October 1939 to the late Rod and Grace Porter. Eldest brother of Ronald, predeceased and his wife Marg of Janetville, Ralph and his wife Diane of Lindsay, Robert and his wife Barb of Oshawa and Doug and his wife Sandy of Janetville. Bill will be missed by many friends and relatives, but especially by his 2 grandsons. Friends are invited to call at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 9th, 2005 at Oakwood United Church, Main Street, Oakwood from 1-3 p.m. Funeral Service at 3 p.m. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
