RANKIN, Robert Sr. 73 years. In sorrow we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father and grandfather, on March 7, 2005. Beloved husband of Doris (nee MacVicar) of Tecumseh. Loving father of Robert Rankin Jr. and wife Sharon, of St. Clair Beach; Lori Romberg and Susan Rankin, both of Tecumseh. Dear son of the late William and Doris Rankin (nee Jensen). Dear Grandpa of Brett, Bradley, Amy and Sarah. Dear brother of William and wife Barb, of Milton; Lynn and husband Richard Tayles, of Windsor; and Gail and husband Robert Aston, of Grosse Isle, MI. Bob will be remembered as the proprietor of Schwabs Meats for many years. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, March 10, 2005 from 3 p.m. at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (735-2830) until time of the Funeral Service at 7 p.m. Rev. George McPhee will officiate. A cremation will take place. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Robert Rankin in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25, 2005.
