HORNICK, G. Douglas (Doug) Born March 15, 1919, entered into rest March 18, 2005 in his 87th year. Survived by his loving wife Mabel (Elliott) and faithful companion Sandy. Dear proud father of 4 sons, Walt (Carol), Ted (Marie), Bob (Barb), Bill, and 1 daughter Ruth Anne Waites (Bob). Loving grandpa to 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Dear father-in-law to Betty Hornick. Dear brother to the late Lydia Cushnie, the late Jack Hornick, Blanche Osborne Bebbington, and special brother to Marjorie James. Brother-in-law to Pearl Morris, Janet Pearson, and Sara Higgs. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Doug actively supported the community of Comber and Tilbury West. Visitation at Paul Reaume Funeral Home, Comber from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Br. 241 Royal Canadian Legion Service 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, March 21, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Catherine Collins-Barker officiating. Interment at McDowell Cemetery, Comber.
