SCHAAFSMA, Andy 73 years, on Saturday, March 19, 2005, surrounded by his children, passed into glory to be with his beloved wife Hilda, who passed away on April 9, 2001. Late of Leamington and formerly of Cottam. Dear father of Tys Schaafsma and wife Patty, Frieda Tyre and husband Keith, Gerty Quick and husband Dave, Jane Clark and husband Mark, Mike Schaafsma and wife Patsy, Jim Schaafsma and wife Kathy, Steve Schaafsma and wife Freda, Yvonne Diemer and husband Scott, Allan Schaafsma and wife Corry. Beloved grandfather 'paka' of 27 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by brother Anders Schaafsma and sister Selina Heil. Andy was the former barber in Cottam. Visting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (326-2631), on Monday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Andy's life, from the Christian Reformed Church, 276 Talbot Street South, Essex, on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at 2 p.m. (Visiting at the Church from 1 p.m. until time of service). Rev. Fred Heslinga officiating. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. Andy's family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Doctor Kiaii and all his staff at University Hospital in London for all their care and compassion these last three months.
