June Marie PARADIS

LONG, June Marie (nee Paradis) Suddenly with her family by her side on March 29, 2005 at 76 years of age. Beloved wife of Victor with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage. Dearest mother of Rose Purdy and husband Tom Danyluk, Jackie and husband Peter Diemer of Woodslee, Cathy Russell and Peter (James) Harwood, and the late Carolyn Long (Oct 25, 1966). Loving daughter of the late Wilfrid and Connie Paradis, and daughter-in-law of the late George and Rosa Long. Treasured grandmother of the late Lisa Bennett (1973), Kim and husband Jason Ranni, Michael Bennett of Ottawa, Robert Russell of Waterloo, Chris and wife Shannon Diemer, Kelly Diemer, Katie Diemer, Carly Atkinson. Great-grandmother of Jacob Ranni. Dear sister of Albert Paradis, Patricia McGregor (Donald 1999), Joseph Henry Paradis of Georgia, Olive Paradis, Jacques Paradis, the late Allan Paradis (2000), Linda Bishop and husband Steve. Sister-in-law of the late Hubert and Marie Long, the late Isabel and Lucien Lavergne, Virginia and the late Adam Armbruster, Howard and Phyllis Long of Scarborough. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by Missy and Thomas. June was a longtime member of Sweet Adelines - Windsor and Essex Chapters, the Bass of the Fascinators Quartette 25 years (2nd Place Regional Champs), and achieved her hairdressing certificate at age 50. She loved her music, sewing, knitting and her favourite TV programs. If you so desire, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday and Friday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers (day and time incomplete). On Saturday, friends are invited to join the family after 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church 3707 Queen Street followed by the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
