SMITH, Flossie Mae (nee Pridmore) The family of Flossie Mae Smith, celebrate with grateful hearts, the successful completion of her long & meaningful life. Flossie died peacefully on Friday, April 1, 2005 in her 106th year. She was married to Russell Edgar Smith from 1919-1921 and to Ralph Wilmer Smith from 1955-2002 both predeceased. She is predeceased by her daughter Helen (Ken) Bray and survived and dearly loved by daughters Norma (Frank) Homer of Orillia, Dorothy (Robert) Martin of Harrow and Joan (Vic) Friedman of Rd. Island, U.S.A. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Flossie was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Belleville Chapter #55 and the Lily of the Valley Chapter #141, Orillia. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and past member of the U.C.W., I.O.D.E. Hospital Auxiliary, Red Cross Society, Couchiching Golf & Country Club and the Orillia Curling Club. The family wish to thank the wonderful staff of the Birchmere Retirement Home and her faithful care giver Veronica Philips for their loving care. They were her extended family and added years to her life. The late Mrs. Flossie Smith will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia from 2-4 p.m. Sunday and from 1-2 p.m. Monday. Funeral Service in the chapel Monday afternoon, April 4th at 2 p.m. Spring interment at St. Andrew's - St. James Cemetery, Orillia. If desired memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or St. Paul's United Church would be appreciated.
