BROWN, Jacob Passed away peacefully, in his 80th year, Thursday April 7, 2005 at the Leamington Mennonite Rest Home. Late residence, Mersea Road 12. Jacob was born in Morris, Manitoba on November 28, 1925. Beloved husband of the late Mary Brown (nee Fast - 1990). Dear father of Ron (Sheila) Brown, Whitehorse; David (Joanne) Brown, Leamington; Jim (Sharon) Brown, Winnipeg. Loving Opa of Ryan, Jordan, Lindsey, Ian, Jacob, Peter and David and Great Opa of Caden. Dear brother of John (Margaret) Braun, Mary (Henry) Driedger, Henry (Katie) Brown. Jake will be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by his parents John J. Braun (1974) and Maria (1979). For over 50 years, Jake farmed with his family on the 7th Concession, Mersea Township. He will be remembered for his love of the north, summers on the French River and winter visits to the Yukon. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street Leamington (326-2631) on Sunday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Jake's life, from the North Leamington United Mennonite Church, (625 Road 6, Leamington) on Monday April 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. Pastor Bruce Wiebe officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the M.C.C. "Meat Canner" or Heart & Stroke Foundation. Friends may send condolences to www.reidfuneralhome.ca.
