Anna MONITA

CHAYCHUK, Anna Born on June 29, 1902, died, April 13, 2005 at 102 years of age. Surrounded be her family at Extendicare in Tecumseh. Daughter of the late Maria and Mike Monita, who were Canadian Western Pioneers from Eastern Europe during the turn of the previous century. Former resident of Ethelbert, Manitoba and Windsor, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Chaychuk (1969). Dear mother of Victoria (Kaczmarczyk) Ullyett and her husband, Denis Ullyett of Windsor: Maurice Chaychuk and his wife, Doris, of Dauphin, Manitoba; William J. Chaychuk (1982) and his wife, Olga Chaychuk of Toronto, Ontario; Julia Hawrysh (1957) and her husband, John (1994); and Maria Chaychuk (1930). Dearest grandmother of Linda and Terry Chaychuk; Betty Ann Boitson; Alex Hawrysh; Lucy Verna Manary; and Joan, Arlene, Mary Ann, Patricia and Alan Chaychuk. Also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. To have known her, was to have loved her. Her wit and hospitality to all will be sadly missed. Friends will be received at Families First Funeral Home, (969-5841) 2670 Dougall Avenue Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayer service at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Funeral Monday 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Christ the King Church, Dominion Boulevard at Grand Marais for Mass at 10 a.m. with Fr. Gary Ducharme Celebrant. Interment Victoria Memorial Cemetery.
