SIMON, Joseph Milton "Joe" 70 years, passed away peacefully with his family at his side after a very brief illness on April 14, 2005 at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus. Beloved husband and best friend of 50 years of Marilynn (nee Busher). Loving father of Roxanne and husband Ronald Gouin, Adam and wife Katherine, Elsie and husband Ken Unis all of Tecumseh. Best loved grandpa to Tammy and Timmy Gouin, Juliana and Victoria Simon, Brandon and Taylor Unis. Survived by mother Irene. Brother to Amelia and husband Bill Chisholm, Kalil Bahri and wife Jackie and Joe Bahri and wife Judy and predeceased by brother Mahlon and sister Barbara. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe retired from Daimler Chrysler in 2000 after 37 years of service and was a Korean War Veteran. Also, will be sadly missed by his companion Star. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7-9pm and Sunday from 2-5pm & 7-9pm. A veteran's service will be held under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Services Committee (day and time to be confirmed). The funeral service will be held at Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel , 12015 Tecumseh Road, Tecumsh (735-2830) on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 11am. Fr. Bob Charbonneau officiating. Cremation will follow and the inurnment of created remains will take place at St. Anne Cemetery at a later date. In kindness memorial donations to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to Brentwood Recovery Home would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Joe Simon in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
