GREENE-POTOMSKI, Janet On April 26, 2005 after a long, courageous battle with cancer at the age of 52 years with her family & friends at her side. Beloved wife of 22 years to Stanley. Loving mother of David Krauser and step-mother of Michele Potomski and Michael Potomski. Dear daughter of Glen and Mabel Greene and daughter-in-law of Florence Potomski and the late Michael. Loved sister of Elaine Greene-Delaney & husband Michael and Marilyn Greene-Wyklige & husband Mark. Dear sister-in-law of Ed Potomski & wife Janet, Terry Potomski & wife Sylvia, Cathy Azzopardi & husband Adrian and Robert Potomski. Dear aunt of Merrick, Steven, Wendy, Barry, Natalie, Vanessa, Shannon and Samantha. Janet dedicated her life to promoting and enhancing the status of women through non-profit organizations. She was the Executive Director for the Windsor Women's Incentive Centre and was Woman of the Year in 1988. She was also very involved with the National Action Committee for the Status of Women. Visitation will be held Thursday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday April 30, 2005 at Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave., (253-5225) at 10 a.m. Pastor Jack Dressler officiating. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Windsor Women's Incentive Centre, Hospice of Windsor or the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. A tree will be planted in memory of Janet Greene-Potomski in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
