BUCHANAN, John Richard - Peacefully and with dignity on May 1, 2005 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 78th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Lippett) his wife of 54 years. Devoted father of Sharon and her husband Ralph and Brian and his wife Darlene. Dearly loved and remembered always as Grandpa to Michael and Poppa to Katie. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Art Buchanan of Victoria Square, brother Nelson and brother-in-law Neale Lippett. Cherished brother of Edward (Eileen), Anne Boyd, sister-in-law Marion (Gary), brother-in-law Jack Lippett (Marg), Paul Lippett (Ruby), Anne Ohlis and Lorraine Lippett. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, and from 1:00 till time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2005 in the chapel.
