ROY, Alice M. A resident of Chatham and formerly of R.R.#1 Pain Court, Alice M. Roy passed away at Chatham Retirement Resort on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at the age of 87. Born in Dover Township, daughter of the late Henri and Josephine (Campbell) Martin. Beloved wife of the late Gerard L. Roy (2001). Dear mother of Rachel Mailloux and her husband Euclid of Stoney Pointe., Yvonne Skipper and her husband Donald of Dutton, Roger Roy and his wife Angela of Pain Court, Yvette Wright and her husband Tom of Sudbury, Francine Yott and her husband Larry of R.R.#1 Charing Cross, and Carmel Waddick and her husband Michael of R.R.#5 Blenheim. Grandmother of 19 and great-grandmother of 16. Mrs. Roy is predeceased by her 11 brothers and sisters. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Roy was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Pain Court, le Club de l'Amitie, and a past member of Les Dames de Ste. Anne. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers and le Club de l'Amitie Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Pain Court on Friday, May 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Pain Court. Donations by cheque to Project "Our Church" Immaculate Conception Parish, Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
