Daniel Scott Leroy SMITH

SMITH, Daniel Scott Leroy Born December 5, 1952. Died May 4, 2005 at the young age of 52. Dan died surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dan was the dear son of the late Kenneth (2004) and Margaret (1997) Smith of Kingsville. Devoted husband of Debbie (nee Edwards). Loving father of Tracy (Phil) Kolody, Jason (Cindy) Smith, Kevin (Liz) Ribble, and Dawn Smith. Dan has six grandchildren who love him very much, Aimee Kolody, Brooke & Breanna Smith, Megan, Hailey & Brody Ribble. Dear brother of Ruth Weller, Rose (Robert) Brown, Carole (Bruce) Boyd. Mark (Ruth) Smith, Terry (Julie) Smith, and the late Carl Smith (1983). Dan will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dan was a dedicated employee of Peterson Spring Kingsville Plant for 33 years. Dan will forever be remembered as a loyal Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Red Wing fan. Dan's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dawn Pears (Com-care) and Liz Ribble for their care and compassion during these final months of Dan's life. Visitation will be May 5, 2005, 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday May 6, 2005 at 11 a.m. from Stuart Sykes Funeral Home, 91 Division St. S., Kingsville, ON . Interment at Greenhill Cemetery in Kingsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
