DUPUIS, Rita (nee Laporte) 80 years, Thursday May 5, 2005 surrounded by her family at Banwell Gardens. Dear wife of Paul Stephen (1986). Dear mother of Gerry, Pauline Laforet and husband Michael, Michael Dupuis and wife Barb, Tom Dupuis and wife Marguerite, Jim Dupuis and wife Colleen, Marlene Hillman and husband Michael. Dear grandmother of Robert, Stephen, Mathew, Stacey, Shannon, Shawn, Michelle, Angie, Aimie, Danielle, Westley, Spring and Adam. Dear great grandmother to seventeen. Dear sister of Lawrence Laporte and his late wife Grace, Jeannette Trotechaud and husband Joe; predeceased by the late Harvey and wife Theresa, Celina Bracken and her late husband Donald, Leah DesRosiers and her late husband Pete, and the late Ed Laporte and his wife Alice. Survived by Dupuis brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visiting Friday May 6 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral procession leaves Saturday May 7 at 10am from Melady Funeral Home, 572 Notre Dame Street, Belle River (728-1500) to St. Simon and St. Jude Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Parish prayers Friday at 4pm. Interment at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association. A tree will be planted in memory of Rita Dupuis in the Melady Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
