TUER, Cheryl (nee Laforet) 51 years, Born into Eternal Life on May 20, 2005 with her family at her side. Late of Riverside. Loving wife of Terry. Devoted mother of Robin, T.J., Melody and Scott. Beloved and devoted daughter of Leo and Virginia Laforet (nee Stemmler). Daughter-in-law of the late Melvin (1973) and Anita (1974). Cherished sister of Susan and Matt Bressette, of Beamsville; Rebecca and Gilles Arseneau, of St. Catharines; Dear sister-in-law and loving friend of Ruth Anne and Gary Reaume; Elaine and Donald Peters; Colleen and Barry Quigley, of Wiarton. Beloved god-daughter of Shirley and Joseph Steiner. Cheryl will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews: James, Rene, Jenna, Michelle, Michael, Leigh-Anne, Jason, Dawn Marie, Danny, Brian, Joe and Shawn. She was a long-time dear friend to the Asseltine and Gerth families. Cheryl was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies' Auxiliary of Br. 255 (Riverside) and was a life-long member of St. John Vianney Church. Cheryl was an extraordinary person to the end. Despite being a survivor of spinabifida, she let a full and unselfish life. Her generous and touching ways touched so many lives, from the children she cared for to everyone through her life's journey. As an organ donor herself, Cheryl's wish was to assist as many as possible. In her memory, a donation to Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, or to the Trillium Gift of Life Network Hotel Dieu Hospital would be appreciated. Family and friends are invited to gather after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at St. John Vianney Church, 385 Dieppe Street at Cedarview, until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Thom Blondin will be the celebrant. A cremation has taken place and an interment of the cremated remains will take place at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, Tecumseh (735-2830). A tree will be planted in memory of Cheryl Tuer in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 25, 2005. All are welcome.
