TEETER, Hawley H. A resident of Chatham, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Thamesview Lodge, Chatham, on Friday, May 27, 2005, at the age of 80 years. Born in Chatham, son of the late Roy G. and Margaret A. (Hornick) Teeter. Loving husband and best friend for the last 50 years of Dorothy M. (Warren) Teeter. Dear father of Terry Teeter and Dixie O'Rourke of Harrow, and Lynn and Tom Whittington of Chat-ham. Grandfather of Jason Teeter and Kelly Sweet, Terri Lynn and Simo Bekkal, and Lisa Whittington and Rod O'Connor. Great grandfather of Sara and Adam Bekkal, and Eric Teeter. Also surviving is a god-daughter Tracey Warren. Mr. Teeter was a veteran of the Canadian Navy having served on H.M.C.S. Charlottetown during W.W.II. He was a retired court officer of Kent County Family Court and had served for many years as the bookkeeper for the Salvation Army Family Services. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Monday 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army, 46 Orangewood Blvd., Chatham, with Major Ernest Budgell officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham (519) 351-2040. Donations made by cheque to United Way C-K for Parkinson's or Salvation Army Chatham Citadel appreciated.
