STRAIN, Sydney Vincent "Syd" - Peacefully, at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 30th, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of the late Marion Hannah Strain. Dear stepfather of the Verna Terrion and her husband Wayne of Peterborough, Nancy Kerr and her late husband Norman of Peterborough, Linda Halstead and her husband Darrell of Peterborough, Donald Dainard and his wife Tracey of Peterborough and the late Doris Perritt. Predeceased by his first wife Audrey Airhart. Remembered by her children Bill (Marie) Airhart, Grace, Rose, Elaine and Wayne (Jill) Airhart. Brother of Robert and his late wife Greta, Sylvia and her late husband Lionel Althouse and David. Friends will be received at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Wednesday, June 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 2nd at 1:00 p.m., Reverend Roger Millar officiating. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Lifford.
