Dorothy Ann Bishop (née Levangie) July 26, 1917 - April 24, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) BISHOP (Levangie), Dorothy Ann - Halifax, passed away April 24, 2005, in St. Vincent's Guest House. Born in Havre Boucher, Antigonish Co., July 26, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Anastasia McKeough and George Levangie. Dorothy was a homemaker and mother to six children. She was a parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Later she became a pastoral careworker at St. Mary's Basillica and the Old Infirmary Chapel on Queen Street, Halifax. Dorothy was an avid bridge player for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy W. Bishop; son, James A. Bishop. Surviving are her brothers, Timothy Levangie, East Bay; Donald Levangie, Havre Boucher; children, Donald Bishop, Hatchet Lake; Lorna Pilling, Halifax; Bonnie Bishop, Calgary; Brian Bishop, Moncton; Mary Croke, Beaver Bank; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Oxford Street and Jubilee Road. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory may be made to Brother Andre House of Vocations, c/o St. John Vianney Church, 4 Beaverbank Rd., Lower Sackville, NS B4E 1G3.
