William "Bill" Francis MacIsaac January 18, 1928 - April 17, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) MacISAAC, William Francis "Bill" - 77, Timberlea, formerly of Antigonish, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2005. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Angus J. and Mary (MacDonald) MacIsaac. Bill was a geologist for Noranda Mining Corporation for 25 years out of Murdochville, Que., and Thunder Bay, Ont. Bill also worked in Bathurst and Tanzania earlier in his career. Bill met the love of his life, Peggy, in Meat Cove, Cape Breton, and they were married for 49 years. Bill and Peggy moved back to Nova Scotia in 1992. Bill enjoyed political discussions, reading and most of all being with his family. Surviving are sons, Bernard (Jennifer), Iqualuit; Edward (Nancy), Calgary; Anthony (Brenda), Timberlea; Jonathan, Ottawa; Michael (Sheri), Thunder Bay; daughters, Mary, Fairview; Catherine (Simon), Scotland; brothers, Angus R. (Anne), North Bay, Ont.; Father Edward, Antigonish; grandchildren, Jillian, Blake, Ceilidh, Fraser, Katie, Emily, Mary Catherine, Haley, Meghan, Jonathan, Scott. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Effina "Peggy"; brothers, Archie, Donald A. and John MacIsaac. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in MacIsaac Funeral Home, Antigonish. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 21, in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Lochaber, Father George Thattapily officiating. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
