Walter Nahirney January 08, 1920 - April 14, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Leyden's Funeral Home (Calgary) Walter Nahirney, beloved husband of Anna, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Walter was born in Dowzniv, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1959. He was an active member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. Walter was predeceased by his son Bohdan in 1973. He will be missed by his wife of 55 years, Anna; three children Maria (Barry) Parolin, Eugene (Marilyn) and Helen (Randy) Dutchak; eight grandchildren Christopher, Alicia, Jessica, Jacqueline, Marissa, Amanda, Rachel, and Evan; great-grandson Seth; brother Steve (Anna) in Calgary; as well as two sisters and one brother in Poland. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 704-6th Street NE, on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be served at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Serhiy Harahuc officiating. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
