Carl A. Barry 1948 - 2005 TRURO, N.S. - Mr. Carl Alisdair Barry, husband of Glenna Barry, of Evergreen Drive, Princeton Heights, Truro, N.S., passed away at his residence, on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at the age of 57, following a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax, N.S., he was the son of Rev. Robert B. and the late Catherine (Barr) Barry. He was a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy - Medical Branch); a member of St. Georges Anglican Church, Bible Hill, N.S.; a member of the Strathmore Strutters Square Dance Club, Truro, N.S. He is survived by his wife, the former Glenna Williston; his father, Rev. Robert B. Barry Sr., of Saint John; two sons, Shawn Barry (Alex), of Stewiake, N.S. and Scott Barry, of Campbell River, B.C.; one grand daughter, Sarah Ann Barry; three brothers, Rev. Robert Barry Jr. (Marguerite), of Miramichi, Ian Barry, of Kentucky, USA, Paul Barry, of Winnipeg, Manitoba; one step brother, Charles Gibbs (Marg), of Niagara Falls, Ont.; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Barry; his step mother, Bessie Barry. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, on Friday, June 17, 2005, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Doug Barrett. Interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
