DOBSON, JOAN CAROL - The death of Mrs. Joan Carol Dobson, loving wife of Charles Dobson, occurred on Wednesday June 15, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1944 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lena (Charlton) Banks. Joan was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and with the RCIA. Besides her loving husband Charles, she is survived by her son Harold Dobson (Tammy Campbell) and daughter Crystal Bordage (Daniel) both of Saint John; sisters Pauline Alderman of Saint John, Erma O'Brien of Saint John and Gloria Redner (Val) of Kenora, Ontario; grandchildren DJ, Tessa, Devin, Denise, Stefannie and Greg; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother William Banks and sister Dorothy Hayes. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A prayer vigil service will be celebrated at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mark's Catholic Church on Saturday June 18, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Following cremation, a private family interment will take place at a later date.
