Lynden Elaine EMERY

EMERY, LYNDEN ELAINE WELTON - Lynden Emery, age 59, of Long Point, NB, died at the Sussex Health Centre, June 17, 2005. She was born December 23, 1945, in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Rev. Leroy and Lillian (Welton) Emery. Lynden grew up in Mystic, Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance from Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada, and a Master of Music in Organ Performance from Yale University, in New Haven, Connecticut. Lynden began her teaching career in 1970. She taught choral music in the Connecticut Public Schools for thirty years. Lynden retired and moved to the Belleisle in January 2001. She attended Kiersteadville United Baptist Church and was an active member of the choir. She also played organ, piano, flute and harp in area churches and taught over thirty-five piano and harp students. Lynden is survived by sisters; Bonilyn Kablesh of New Hampshire, Crystal Emery of North Carolina, Sherol Grigerick and husband Jim of North Carolina and Adah Booth and husband Donald of Connecticut. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Scott Kablesh, Kimberly Klett, Marshall Karas, Nadia Hoffman, Darrel Grigerick, Karrie Sousa, Kristin Grigerick; three grand-nephews; Alex Klett, James, Klett and Garrett Karas and other cousins. A Memorial Service, conducted by Rev. Dan Austin, will be held at 2:40 PM, Sunday, June 26, 2005, at the Kiersteadville Baptist Church, Kiersteadville, NB, commencing with a String Concert.
