Mr. Bernard David Ryan March 26, 1936 - June 16, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) RYAN, Bernard David - 69, Dartmouth, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 16, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born March 26, 1936, in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Annabelle (Hurshman) Ryan. He worked for 34 years with Local 1341 on the Halifax Waterfront. Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, the former Mary Elizabeth Meade; son, Robert, Dartmouth; stepchildren, Christine Gay, Halifax; Geraldine Gay, Lower Sackville; Ralph (Sandra) Gay, Halifax; David (Dianne) Gay, Lower Sackville; sister, Eileen (Dave) Millar, Dartmouth; several stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Private interment will be held in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. If so desired, a donation in Bernard's memory to Canadian Diabetes Association, Nova Scotia Region, P.O. Box 12013, Stn. Brm.
